Wendy Davis (not to be confused with the politician of the same name) is an American actress.

Biography[]

Davis was born in Joppatowne, Maryland, on June 30, 1966. As a teenager, she attended Joppatowne High School. As a young adult, she graduated from Howard University with a degree in Theater. As an actor, Davis filled a series regular role on the 1991 series The New WKRP in Cincinnati, starring as receptionist Ronnie Lee. She also appeared in the police drama series High Incident as Lynette White; the series aired from 1996 to 1997. However, her best known role was as Colonel Joan Burton in the Lifetime TV series Army Wives, which she starred in from 2007 to 2013, departing after the seventh season finale.

Davis portrayed Doctor Kathleen Benedict, a marriage counselor attacked by prolific serial killer and rapist Alan Anderson, in the Season Nine episode "Mr. & Mrs. Anderson".
