I was looking at this list and started thinking whether these killers really qualify as omnivores? Frank Breitkopf, Earl Bulford, Connor O'Brien and, of course, George Foyet, did truly kill a wide variety of people only for the sake of killing, but some others on the list did have a solid point of their victimology:

  • Peter Redding targeted people connected to a very specific event, the fire
  • Will and Chris Summers specifically targeted teenagers with their Choking Game
  • John Vincent Bell had two distinctive types of victims. The vagrants, all of whom were apparently male, and a father and a daughter. While the vagrants were basically disposable to him, the fathers and daughters had a very specific symbolism to him.
  • Owen Porter's victims were all about to leave town. If he really was an omnivore, he wouldn't have been so specific.
  • Blake Wells felt that all of his victims had abandoned some reponsibility.
