  • The episode heavily derives elements from the bestselling nonfiction chronicle All God's Children, by journalist Rene Denfield. In it, Denfield covers the lives of "street families", who become or are left homeless and form their own groups, often even after living more posh lifestyles. The phenomena have repeatedly resulted in crime waves by the "families", including serial murder.
