Samuel (surname unrevealed) is a friend of the late and former SSA Jason Gideon, who was a recurring character in Season Two of Criminal Minds.

Nothing is known of Samuel's background (not even his full name), other than he is friends with Gideon and works as an art dealer.
On Criminal Minds[]
Samuel first appears in "The Big Game", where he gives Gideon a painting of a bird before he is called away by JJ concerning a case. He reappeared in "No Way Out II: The Evilution of Frank" offering Gideon his condolences when Sarah Jacobs was murdered at the hands of Frank Breitkopf. Samuel was not heard from since, and it is unknown what happened to him following Gideon's retirement later that year, and later his murder in 2015.
