Marisa Guterman is an American actress, singer, and songwriter best known for her roles in The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Shredderman Rules.


Guterman received a college theatre scholarship from the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts. She used it at the University of California at Berkeley, where she received a B.A. and created her own major, called Art's Potential for Social and Political Change. In 2008, Guterman was nominated for a Young Artist Award for Leading Young Actress in a TV Movie, Miniseries, or Special. The particular nomination was for her appearance in the Nickelodeon-produced made-for-TV movie Shredderman Rules.

She most recently appeared onstage in Pasadena, California, at the Fremont Centre Theatre, starring in the leading role of Lilly in the world premiere of South of Delancey. Guterman is also a singer-songwriter and jazz singer, having been a Gibson-Baldwin Grammy Jazz Ensemble Finalist. For her musical career, she was recently selected from a worldwide search by as one of of "30 Under 30 Musicians To Know". Guterman and her personal band are regulars at The House of Blues, The Viper Room, and Hotel Cafe, where they perform her original music. She is also a member of the Upright Citizen's Brigade.
