Kevin Brief is an American actor.
Biography[]
Brief was born in the Brooklyn borough of New York City, New York, as the youngest of three children. He grew up there until the age of three, when his father, a nighttime milkman, became tired of his job and resigned so he could move his family to Long Beach, California, in pursuit of a better career. Brief spent the remainder of his early and teenage years there. In school, Brief was popular and became the president of his middle and high schools. In the summer before his junior year of Wilson High School, Brief went to summer school as part of a requirement to land a position on the football team. One of the classes he decided to take as part of the requirement was a drama class, which he became intrigued by. After graduating, Brief attended California State University, Long Beach and studied theater arts there.
Upon receiving a BA in Theater, Brief began training at the prestigious Asolo/FSU Conservatory, located in Sarasota, Florida. He also became working with a professional theater company. After two years of this, Brief earned a Masters of Fine Arts in Acting and an Actor's Equity Card. Afterwards, Brief moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where he began landing professional acting roles. He made his stage debut in the role of Mr. MacGregor in Peter Rabbit. Since then, he landed roles on the stage and in films, commercials, and voice-over. In the early 1990's, Brief moved to Los Angeles, California, at the behest of two acting friends. There, he continued his theater work in small, local theaters before moving on to television roles. His TV acting credits include recurring, guest-starring, and co-starring roles on about 80 shows. In addition, Brief landed several lead roles in made-for-TV movies. He also had lead roles in a number of indie and low-budget movies, as well as smaller roles in major studio films.

Brief portrayed Pastor Larry Benson in the Season Seven episode "I Love You, Tommy Brown". He then portrayed George Hawthorne, the father of abduction victim Amelia Hawthorne, in the Season Eleven episode "Hostage".
