BiographyEdit

Roden was born in Dallas, Texas, on October 7, 1986. At the age of six, she was fascinated by England's queen. As a result, Roden would perform one-woman plays for her family in which she portrayed the queen. She later enrolled in theatre camps and acting classes. She got her education at Hockaday School, an all-girls private school. Having come from a medical family, Roden majored in molecular biology and women's studies at the University of California, Los Angeles, and spent three-and-a-half years in premedical education. Roden had initially wanted to become a cardiothoracic surgeon, but after one year of premed education, she decided to return to acting and took it up as a full-time career.

Within two months of hiring an agent, Roden got her first big break through a recurring role on the HBO-produced series 12 Miles of Bad Road. She later made guest-star appearances on shows such as The Event, Cold Case, Community, Criminal Minds, and Grey's Anatomy. She also landed a lead role in the cult classic franchise Bring It On: Fight to the Finish. Initially, Roden remained dedicated to her education as a full-time student in spite of her acting job and subsequent busy work schedule. Finally, she decided to switch majors. Her new major was women studies, which she received her degree from at UCLA.

On Criminal MindsEdit

Roden portrayed Rebecca Daniels, a teenage girl who was abducted by serial rapist-turned-killer Robert Burke and held captive by his accomplice Juliet Monroe. She appeared in the Season Five episode ...A Thousand Words.
