Steven Alan "Steve" Moore is an American actor.

Biography[]

Monroe was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on October 30, 1972. He has lived and worked all over North America and New Zealand. His father is a well-known pathologist, while his mother raised him along with his three siblings. He attended Duke University for three years, but transferred to Occidental College in 1993 following the death of his best friend Alex. At Occidental, Monroe earned bachelors' degrees in both Russian Language and Theatre Arts. In 2010, he earned his Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Monroe's TV career includes guest-star appearances on Sullivan and Son, Rizzoli and Isles, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, NYPD Blue, Grey's Anatomy, Veronica Mars, Las Vegas, Big Love, Home Improvement, The Class, Felicity, Touched by an Angel, Charmed, Unscripted, and Criminal Minds. He also had recurring roles on Monk, JAG, Seventh Heaven, Costello, and Sister Sister. In addition, Monroe starred in the TV pilot Helmet Heads, as well as Spike TV's series Thunderballs.

In addition to Miss Congeniality, Monroe starred in a number of films, including House of the Dead II, Going Greek, Vampires Anonymous, Soccer Dog 2, 1OO Women with Jennifer Morrison, and The Santa Trap. Additional film credits include supporting roles in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, The Nutty Professor, Castaway, Can't Hardly Wait, School for Scoundrels, Funky Monkey, Cloud 9, and Space Cowboys, among numerous others. In his personal life, Monroe is practicing as a psychotherapist and is an avid tennis player, recording artist, and guitar player. He achieved advanced level studies with the famous improv comedy troupe the Groundlings. Currently, Monroe continues his stand-up comedy routines in clubs located around Los Angeles, California.
