Michael Mateus Steger is an American actor.
Biography[]
Steger was born on May 27, 1980, to an accountant mother and an operations manager. He had two older brothers and a younger brother. According to an interview, he was bullied during his childhood in the fourth grade until the sixth grade. He was later transferred to another school when the bullying became too serious. Steger later graduated with honors from Cal Poly Pomona, achieving a BA degree in Theater and a minor in Spanish. Throughout his childhood, Steger trained in martial arts, and at the age of eighteen, he received his first Dan black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Steger later started his career by appearing in several commercials. Then, he guest-starred in V.R. Troopers in 1994. In 2005, he acted in the Bollywood indie film 3 Girls and the Golden Cocoon, and after appearing as Mohamed Esfiri in an uncredited role on NCIS in 2005, he landed a recurring role on The Winner in 2007. As of 2007, Steger has appeared in several Disney Channel productions, guest-starring in Hannah Montana and Cory in the House, as well as acquiring a costarring role in the 2008 Disney Channel Original Movie The Cheetah Girls: One World. He also guest-starred on Criminal Minds in 2008 as a terrorist. From 2008 to 2013, Steger portrayed the role of Navid Shirazi on The CW show 90210. In his personal life, Steger married actress Brandee Tucker on November 15, 2008.
