McNally Sagal (born Jean Ellen McNally) is an American actress and writer, best known for playing Margret Murphy on the FX series Sons of Anarchy.

Biography[]

Sagal was born Jean Ellen McNally outside Chicago, Illinois, in a family of 10 children. It is unknown what the name of her parents and her siblings are. What is known is that she began her acting career in a Broadway production of Amadeus working in regional theaters and was part of the Groundling's Sunday Show before moving to Los Angeles, where she got her first role in a Clive Barker film, Nightbreed. Since then, she has appeared in numerous television series and films, such as The Practice, Teen Wolf, Lucifer, Ocean's 8, Chicago Hope, Sons of Anarchy, The X-Files, Grey's Anatomy and Criminal Minds.

In her personal life, she married David Sagal, a lawyer, in 1988, and has had 3 children together.

Sagal portrayed Cora Gilliam, the mother of spree killer and family annihilator Marc Clifford, a suspect of his crimes, and one of his survivors, in the Season Ten episode "A Place at the Table".
