David O'Hara (born David Pearson; not to be confused with the Scottish actor of the same name) is an American actor, director, and producer.

BiographyEdit

O'Hara was born in Johnson City, Tennessee, but raised in Phoenix, Arizona, and Long Beach, California. At the age of 27, he became one of the top track-and-field coaches in the U.S. O'Hara coached three Olympians, who won a total of two bronze medals, and one also set the world record in the Women's Javelin. Retiring from coaching at the age of 29, O'Hara took up acting, appearing in a number of movies and TV shows. He also wrote, directed, and starred in the short play The Gladiators. O'Hara also optioned several scripts, written two scripts for hire, and done several rewrites of other writers' scripts.

On Criminal MindsEdit

O'Hara portrayed real-life necrophilic killer Ed Gein in a flashback in the Season Four episode Cold Comfort.
