Danièle Lorise Watts is an American actress.
Biography
Watts was born in Riverside County, California, on November 3, 1985. She lived in Orlando, Florida, where she attended middle school. She then moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where she attended the North Springs Charter School of Arts and Sciences, a magnet school. After graduating, she attended the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California; and the British American Drama Academy in London, England, UK. Starting an acting career, she appeared in episodes of How I Met Your Mother, Greek, Cold Case, Detroit 1-8-7, Criminal Minds, Private Practice, 90210, Castle, and Melissa & Joey.
In September 2014, Watts and her boyfriend Brian Lucas were filmed having sex in a car parked on a public street. Police officers were called in for a "citizen complaint of indecent exposure" and loud noises. During and after her arrest, Watts claimed that she was the subject of racial profiling, was called a prostitute, and her handcuffs left her wrist bloodied. After recordings of the encounter were released, a judge ruled that the statements Watts made were inaccurate and the officers were only responding to the 911 call. She was ordered to write letters of apology to all three police officers responding to the scene, as well as neighbors who had witnessed the exchange.
On Criminal Minds
Watts portrayed Tracy Anderson, the girlfriend of serial killer Kaman Scott and the mother of his son, in the Season Six episode Devil's Night.
